It is true. Sometimes we stop at a place just because we want to take our own version of a picture that we’ve seen. So it was that we paused for a lunch and photo break in Bosa on our way from Alghero to Oristano. Lunch wasn’t very successful; every restaurant we tried was closed. On the other hand, we did find good places to take pictures. The pictures we had saw did not lie: Bosa is photogenic.
Lonely Planet is also fond of Bosa:
“Bosa is one of Sardinia’s most attractive towns. Seen from a distance, its rainbow townscape resembles a vibrant Paul Klee canvas, with pastel houses stacked on a steep hillside, tapering up to a stark, grey castle. In front, moored fishing boats bob on a glassy river and palm trees line the elegant riverfront.”
I find it a strange place
