England: London, the Millennium Bridge

The Millennium Bridge

The Millennium Bridge

Crossing the Thames between the Blackfriars Railway and the Southwark Bridges is the Millennium Bridge. Opened in 2000, the Millennium Bridge creates a convenient walking route between St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Tate Modern Gallery. Today it is hard to imagine this stretch of the Thames without the bridge.

  2. Is this a suspension bridge? Looks like it could be with the cable structure and all. Great shot!
