Trinity College and its library are amongst Dublin Ireland’s top tourist sights. The College Library is famous as the home of the Book of Kells. The story of the Book of Kells isinteresting; seeing the illuminated manuscript, opened to two pages under thick protective glass in a crowd of people, is underwhelming. More interesting, at least for us, was the Long Room of the College Library. With its intricate dark woodwork and old book smell the Long Room is worth the price of admission on its own.
