The last stop on our 7,664 mile Southwestern road trip was at the Circus Circus KOA in Las Vegas. It was an eventful stop as Becky’s Stumpjumper mountain bike was snatched from the front of the Airstream. The thief came prepared to cut the hefty lock cable securing the bike. Our other two bikes remained safe in the back of the truck. Ironically the truck, full of camera gear and other electronics, had been left unlocked.
We didn’t let the Vegas larceny didn’t get in the way of our plans. A spa visit to Qua and a dinner at upscale Twist brought us back to the better side of civilization, if can call Las Vegas civilized.
There was also time to take a few more infrared pictures. Infrared is not the future of photography. All the same it gives a different, less common perspective. I just wish I snapped a good picture of the cable cutter operator.
